What I want to know is how many in this thread are going to trade for the "new" one, regardless of what it ends up being. It's not even two years old, and already you clowns have them thinking about fucking up what makes it special.

A Sharpie magic marker takes care of the red if needed.

They don't have to trade up though. The point is to let others get a refreshed car (just speculation) while those with older models can still do the same if they wish without trading their car in for a new one.

If you're just referring to special limited series then I get what you're saying.

When did we get 100,000 twins on the roads?
Hard to see where those complaints about poor sales are coming from if we have 100k cars on the road!

The other sales thread (which might be North America-only) does show only about 45k total....

From my reading here, just about half the membership thinks the car sucks and would trade for a "new" one at the drop of a hat. See the 10 or Monogram threads. SAME frickin' car, just "better". Paying bucks for "Dual Zone" climate control in a phone booth is funny. The gearheads drove the initial release of this car, and now the money guys have twigged to how many suckers for shiny there are.

I suspect the FR-S/BRZ will be a victim of it's own success.

I look forward to driving a stock first-gen ten years from now, when the majority, sadly, look like the typical shit-box moldy-rice Civic.

sales metrics are backward looking. if anything, as some had pointed out already, the sub-optimal sales metrics should be a huge motivation for toyota to develop a better FRS/BRZ/GT86.

Yet in another thread here, sales numbers are 100K plus. If so, the FR-S/BRZ/86 is nothing but a success.

absolutely. people are oblivious to the fact that media's job is deliver news with heavy sounding titles, usually of fear and disappointment.

people just need to calm the f down & read between the lines & read the things that are unsaid.

@Tromatic

If it came in a Baby Blue color, or Canary Yellow I miiiggght consider trading it in. But that would be the only reason.

Hey, what if they decide to do a special edition two-tone black/white paint job and release it as a limited edition? Would anybody jump on that?

The people sweating the "status" of the car are the ones who pay attention to this shit. They are not driving a car, they are driving an accessory that needs to be updated on the same cycle as an iPhone, and to be caught with anything less than the current generation is failure.

Those people are retards, and I feel sorry for them.

Wow this is great news, although I still love my stock FR-S.

Should we start a thread on what this new one is and then let monogram series buyers start saying they got 'shafted'? Seems like that's the trend the forum has been going...
