Out of those three I would get the Perrin, the Takeda has a couple really sharp bends I don't like and don't care for the outlets on the muffler being on the same side. The borla looks pretty good too though I just like the Perrin better.

But of course everybody will have their own opinion on what they think sounds good, what really matters is what you feel sounds the best
do you have borla?

Wow this forum is WAY better than fr-sforum.com Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyways, hmm...I have NEVER heard of Perrin until now. Definitely will look into them!

A bunch of folks mentioning the Borla in here. I actually really like the sound of that one from the vids, although it might be a bit loud.

A couple issues though: the muffler is moved to the middle of the car where there MIGHT be some heat issues, since that area isn't shielded as much from heat from the factory.

More of a real issue: some folks with the Borla installed mentioned that there are some clearance issues...it hangs real low. I saw that posted on one or two threads...not sure where. EDIT: here it is: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=39

It's not uncomfortably loud. When I first installed it, it seemed louder. Now I believe it's breaking in a bit. With the silencers it's very very tame.

No personal experience on the n1 with this car but if it was anything like my n1 I had on my sti it will be louder than the Evo lol.

Would you say then that even with the Invidia, I'd have to get a silencer for that?
@zex, do you have any more pics of the black vinyl top? I have the same exact color and thinking whether or not I want to get a black vinyl top.

The Invidia comes with silencers so you can choose to use them or not.

I'm looking for that roaring STI WRX sound. Someone had suggested Invidia.

OR...should I just get TRD exhaust?
Not sure I follow what you're saying here - you like the Evo3, you think you need a silencer (for what reason?) and you're looking for that roaring WRX sound.

If by roaring WRX sound, you mean loud, then just remove the silencers from the Evo3 - they come pre-installed, but it's 3 bolts on each side to remove.

If by roaring WRX sound, you mean Subaru Boxer Burble, then you're gonna need to replace your headers to get that sound.
