A lot of people have different tolerance levels for drone. I’m sure it drones, all exhausts that don’t have a big single suitcase muffler like stock have at least a fairly significant standing wave in that 2400-3000rpm frequency. Wether it’s noticeable, apparent, or annoying is mostly up to personal sensitivity/preference.

I actually haven't noticed any drone at all but at the same time the exhaust still needs to be broken in so maybe I'll notice it later.

My previous car (2020 civic si coupe) I had a type r exhaust retrofitted + muffler delete + catless downpipe, needless to say it droned quite a bit in those rev ranges so maybe I'm just used to heavier drone so I don't notice it as much if it at all with the MXP.

I like that--it looks like the MXP SP but with a helmholtz resonator and without any weight gain from the stock exhaust. Extra points here because the gen 2 exhaust weighs less than the gen 1 exhaust.

It does look like a nice system, and an actual horsepower gain is surprising. Just wasn’t sure how they measured the volume. One of the measurements was 101db which would be far too loud for my liking. Volume at idle seems reasonable though?

Edit: sound clip on YouTube

Here's another--I think it sounds really good, but I have no idea what headers or a front pipe would do to the tone.

Sounds like a baby VQ almost. Stock header sounds perfect in my opinion...

^agreed - I would only change out the header for power reasons if there is a really nice aftermarket option… sound is really nice already with the OEM

Sard just released a sound clip of their full titanium exhaust a few days ago. Weight saving is 6.5kg over stock. Not sure what pipe diameter though

Very nice, but $3k+ is pretty steep.

So I ordered the MXP rs comp cat back and one of the muffler exit pipes is oval. The problem is the round tip won't fit over the oval to clamp down.

It tried bending with pliers and clamping it down hard but it barely fits over it.

Is there an easier way to make that exit pipe round?

Contact the retailer who sold you the kit. Sounds like something happened in shipping or manufacturing. Should be slip on and done.
