The whole layout of posting in Facebook makes it hard to find any info unless you are watching constantly. Stuff get's buried in a hurry when you have to start digging through layers and layers of comments and sub comments to find what all was said.

That is also an issue. But when asking a simple question; i.e. what coilovers should I get or something more complex like diagnosing a code, I've seen generally stupid responses.

That also goes for most of the other (anti)social media platforms. They are all, for the most part, toxic.
I primarily use it for family and friend groups along with event planning, it is a lot easier then having a couple hundred more phone numbers and contacting people individually. It is pretty useless otherwise.

I've seen mostly stupid responses. Ask a real followup question when someone asks "what coilovers?" like "what is your intended use?" and it is meet with all the hater comments.

Annex Suspension just did a live Q&A and one of the comments they read is how PD is useless on track and you need to learn how to drive the car and not hammer on it. LOL WTF.

When I put my FRS for sale on Facebook Marketplace I had a horrible time trying to figure out what to do. It was however where I had the reasonable offers coming in. Not so much from Autotrader or Craigslist

I guess I just don't have that many family and friends I want to keep up with at that level.

They tried to use Facebook Workplace here, and it went over like a lead balloon in my opinion. Those that are rabid Facebookers took to it quickly and turned it into, well basically Facebook. I only ever logged in once, basically because I was required to show i have accepted my account.

The good news is a lot of the stuff from Marketing/HR/etc that used to flood my email box has now moved to that platform so I don't have to delete as much.

Facebook is even becoming a thing of the past. For summer Kickoff I now have people who dont see FB or even Instagram, just Snapchat or TikTok or whatever other new app came out in the last 48hrs.

It makes it super hard to keep up. I wish we could get direct urls to regional forums to make it easy to tell people about (ie ft86club.com/forums/norcal)

The dial up was great for downloading things that shouldn't be downloaded. It was much more entertaining when you had to figure out what number you needed.

If its the comment Im thinking of pretty sure it was a joke. The guy who said it is friends with Joe (who he called out in the comment). Not liking pedal dance could be true lol
