Draw-Tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch for FRS/BRZ/86

I am thinking of installing a trailer hitch on my 86. I think I found an elegant solution, but it requires removal of the bumper and taillights. I don't feel comfortable doing that on my own, but I need to get this hitch installed soon.

This is the equipment in question: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hit...015/24935.html

The instructions are also provided on that link. It says that mudflaps may affect taking off the bumper. Is there any problem with installing this between the frame and bumper impact bar?

Can anyone recommend a shop that could help me out with this in the Escondido/San Diego county area? The trailer hitch is on its way to my house now.

I'm not sure what you are pulling that you need it to have full class 1 trailer hitch. Many of us use the Slambert hitch to tow tire trailers. Easy to put on and take off, approximately 5 minutes.

There would be no issues mounting the Draw-Tite hitch between the frame and impact bar. Mudflaps would be an extra clip or 2 to remove.

Yeah the Slambert is popular and is what I bought myself. There's also this:

Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer with your vehicle. Toyota also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, etc. Your Toyota is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow hitch mounted carriers.
