Should this be covered by warranty and can Subaru repair this?
My BRZ's frame(im guessing) right hand side passanger door is kind of sticking out. The bottom of the door line where the door opens does not match the line further extended to where the fender matches. Been driving the car recently a lot never involved in any sort of accident, not a ding or anything car is a Queen Garage. Did not even notice this till my Brother came over for a family dinner and pointed it out. It leaves me uneasy how this happened, the car has only 2,000 miles for the year ive had it, use it mainly for spirit driving, backroads, woods, etc. Still unsure how this could happen? Can someone give me some advice on this, all ears!

Edit: The only mods i have on the vehicle is a Invidia N1 catback, invidia catless down pipe and a motiv over pipe, not sure if that somehow affected it?!

I bet you it was lifted on the jacks incorrectly. You may be able to get under there and bend it back into place. Any pics?

Ever jack it up with the passenger door open?
Subaru could fix it. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they take a look at those mods and say the damage was likely caused by an incorrect jacking of the vehicle. You wouldn't have a ton of ground to stand on at that point. |

Not right now its night out so i wont be able to get any photos, that could possibly be the case, i had the car on jacks when i replaced the headerback exhaust system. Is this something severe; i must of not noticed the car wasn't jacked properly because i never had this problem before. Should i be worried if its the case, ill have photos tomorrow!

I can't give you a very good answer as I don't even own an FRS/BRZ. I had a 2001 Camaro SS and this was a very common problem with them, you could literally get under the car and bend them back in place though. It's not frame damage or anything, just cosmetic.

Ok i see, being that it is the passanger side my take would be to lift that side up higher on the jacks and let it sink into place with the drivers side?

No. One side has nothing to do with the other, they likely aren't connected anywhere. The only way to tell is to get it on a lift and just look. You may be able to see something bent that you can just bend back by hand. That's what I did with the Camaro.

Here's a good write up about what the Camaro problem would look like, and how you could fix it. Obviously we are talking about different cars, but hopefully it gives you an idea.
