currently have 17x9 +35 with 245/40/17. cusco coilovers (pillowball mount) lowered all the way in he front and only 1/2 inch taller than that in the rear. im looking fo all season tires, found some i like, but im wondering if a 255 width tire will fit without rubbing? anyone with a similar setup that can confirm? ive turned the wheel lock to lock and looked at clearance and it looks prettttty tight. idk. little wider tires couldnt hurt as long as they fit. thanks!

Will 18x9.5 +45 with 265/35R18 rub the rear bumper tab? Tires will be Hankook Ventus V12 which run narrower than most. Lowered 1.4" with -2.5 camber.

Specs:
18x9.5 +38 245/40/18 Bridgestone RE71Rs. Car is bone stock, will not be lowering until early summer 2017. Question 1: Will it fit stock suspension? No rubs at full lock? Question 2: Will it fit after 1 inch drop come summer time? (Eibach Pro Kits) |

17x8 +35 on coils.
Would 235/45/17 or 235/40/17 be better?? |

Compared to your setup, you gain 10mm from the offset but lose 5mm(10mm/2) from the tire. I'd say you will rub. Quote:
2. When you drop it, the car will gain camber. That would reduce the clearance. You won't really know until you try it, but it will be less than the 3-8mm mentioned above. I personally wouldn't risk damaging the wheels or getting into a sticky situation. 9.5's don't fit good on stock struts, they either poke or rub or are dangerously close. A 3-5mm spacer would help. 245/40's are for 17's. 40 series is for 225 or 235 on 18's. 245/35 is a much better choice. On 18's you will be a full inch taller than stock. Quote:
245/40 will fit. Chance you might need a 3-5mm spacer up front due to camber and not all cars are made the same, we are talking a few mm here, maybe about 10mm clearance? Depending on how much clearance you are willing to accept. Last edited by swarb; 10-29-2016 at 12:08 AM. |

You should have plenty of room, closest point of contact would be your tire to the spring perch. I'm slightly lower in the front with -1.5 camber and I wouldn't want to get any closer than that, same wheel specs and tire width. I've heard tire manufacture measurements can vary but I've ran Falkens and... whatever different tire I'm on now and neither rubbed. I would recommend camber bolts anyways and an alignment to get this dialed in to where you want them.
