Failed Brake Job

I was replacing my rear driver side brake rotor and it was getting late and I was getting impatient so I stupidly decided to use my impact gun to insert the bolt to break the old rotor free and I went a bit too hard on one side and hear a pop and a small stud and bracket broke off of the parking brake.

Looking for any suggestions on how to safely put the wheel back on to drive it to a mechanic...

Wrong subforum?
There's no way you already needed a brake job on a GR 86

Wrong forum, but easiest thing in my opinion would be to just pop both brake shoes off. E brake will not work on that side though if you do that.

Yeah, I was figuring someone rode the brakes all the way down a huge hill, stopped at the light at the bottom and baked pad material onto their rotors. Then they thought they warped the rotors and needed to change them already.

But part of me hoped that first-adopters getting the car already would be above that kind of mistake!
