Sorry didn't get a chance to check this thread.

The place I went to is called smog simple. The guy actually has a website, the shop is in Mission Viejo next to some dealerships, building directly next to a volvo dealership I think.

https://www.smogsimple.com/

Place was run by a single guy, seemed like a good dude. I read on yelp he failed someone, but who knows what that guy was trying to pull. My experience was good, I just pulled in front of his place (its in the back of the building) before he even arrived at work early Monday morning. Said hi when he showed up and got his shop all ready to go and knocked out my smog check in like 15 mins. No lift, didn't have to drive the car. He checked his book frequently and poked around the engine bay with a flash light for a bit and very briefly peeked under the car. He also blipped the throttle a few times.

Mind you I knew my car would pass, it only has a simple catback and some bracing in the engine bay so everything was stock. His English wasn't super strong but I got what he was saying, seemed like a nice fella.

Hope this helps someone

Also the guy doesn't do appointments, so better off checking google busy hours and just showing up.

Passed my SMOG

Good news, I passed my SMOG. Was very nervous about it because I have bolt ons and ran E-85 religiously but I can happily say, I passed. Some notes for you guys and I highly recommend the spot I went to.

I used a Stage 2 UEL E-85 tune (OFT) for the last 2 years. I flashed my stock image back to the car about 2 weeks ago, and switched back to gasoline (91). Let the car get close to Empty and would fill up and waste gas so that I could get all the E-85 out of the car.

Mods I have:
K&N Air Filter
JDL UEL Header (not catted)
JDL OP
JDL Front Pipe (catted)
Greddy Supreme SP Cat-Back Exhaust

If you guys are from the 626 area like I am, I highly recommend going to Kevin's Smog, its on Baldwin Ave and Lower Azusa Ave on the West side of Baldwin in El Monte.

It cost me $40.00

They did not lift my car, they rev'd it a couple times. Took about 10 minutes at most.

Haha, I was just as surprised as you. I will scan the paperwork when I get home and show you guys what specifically passed.

I just got my car in today to get smog done. After putting everything back to stock I had no issues passing but he did mention that other places might have failed me for missing the sound tube.. so just passing this along.

Did you just flash back a stock map via ecutek and it passed?

Did you show the tech who failed you the CARB sticker or certificate?
