that and most games aren't played in air conditioning and you can't just slide without actually running half the time.
First two are good points, although I think you will generally find far fewer examples of such sacrifice in football than in hockey. On the third, if you've ever been in hockey gear, even on the ice, you'd know that the "air conditioning" is not a factor. As for sliding around half the time, there's a lot more energy expended skating hard than you might think. And the first thing you're taught as a hockey player involved with an opponent is to keep your feet moving.

I've played football, baseball, basketball and hockey in my life with the toughest, physically, being hockey. It's also the best cardio!

yep, had on hockey gear on an ice rink and football gear on a field in the middle of the summer in Georgia twice a day for practice. I'll take the hockey gear 7 days a week and twice on sunday.

Nothing more entertaining than watching a guy from Texas and a guy from Georgia debate how difficult hockey is!

Just because they come from southern states doesn't mean they don't know how difficult hockey is. Canadians aren't the only hockey players in the world

Both of those dudes are from very competitive urban areas that are known for their world class athletes. Moreover, the cities also have the real estate to produce them. It might be hot as balls down here. But, there is extremely talented competition coming out of the south across every sport.

My first experiences with hockey were as a kid growing up in Chicago. Pond hockey and indoor. I was actually fortunate enough to go to a Stanley Cup game to see Bobby Hull score the game's lone goal against Gump Worsely.

That said, since the Stars moved here from Minnesota hockey has actually been fairly popular here. Lots of youth, high school and adult leagues.

The guy who made that video was sitting too far away from the microphone - I couldn't hear a thing he said.

/sarcasm
