I used to love his tune too until my DI seals went out then I started having cam issues. "Looks good" - Ticket Closed is not how you review a God damn datalog.

And here I just flashed back to E85 with the 1.14 tune and am thinking, "Holy shit this thing is fast."

IDK, I must be more patient than most people. If something doesn't work the way I think it should, I flash back to the last known good tune until a new version comes out and try it. So far I have had 0 problems out of his tunes. The only thing I had was a stumble at start last time I was on e85, but I think thats because I went to a different station and they were still on e70 and I didn't test it before I filled up.

Could it be faster? IDK. Apparently I don't have the expendable cash, like it seems everyone else here does, to just drop another $300 to try somebody else's tune and possibly get another 5hp. I'm happy with what I have. If I want more power from here, I'll try another bolt on.

I have a tree that grows green cloth bills. I don't work because of that... But, Seriously.. Just saying the customer service is lacking much more than usual. If your client base is too big for you to handle then stop getting back on the saddle that you can't ride alone.

And If You rode in my car you would notice a lot more than 5hp Loss on his tune. Its closer to 40-50.

The model tuners use currently just doesn't scale. The cost (in time or $) of servicing existing customers eventually swallows them. talent in that area is hard to come by and not exactly incentivized to work for someone else, so it's near impossible to increase your capacity.

They should have a base map (or several) available for free or cheap online and charge for their time customizing them as a service, like a paid support type thing. Far more scalable in my opinion.

I've been meaning to write something like this for a while both in some combination of support and condemnation of both JV and all the other tuners. I think you said this pretty well.

The problem is simple math, every free update has an increased expense to the tuner with only a minimal, non-reoccurring, revenue stream.

Only 33 wheel horse down from the most expensive tune on the market? Looks good.
