Sounds like a response from a man that can't swallow his pride and stand corrected on how it doesn't look like, "complete crap"... Bet you're a very insecure person lmao.

On to another subject... I'm deploying soon so I won't get much of a chance to go through with it before hand, but I plan on dipping mine sometime after I return. Haven't decided on color yet. However, I'm really liking this.

EXCELLENT response and I think that color looks sick! Send over pics when your done with it after getting back from deployment... my preference is still a matte black but that blue is really sick.

The PlastiDipped BRZ is mine.

A few points:

1. Use a professional HVLP gun & air compressor. Don't use the rattle cans.
2. Shoot for a low-humidity day.
3. Lay down enough layers (4 minimum) to make it easy to peel later. More is definitely better.

I laid mine down on a day that was just a bit too humid. This caused the PD to cure differently than the nice, 'shiny' matte finish I wanted. Mine really, really sucked up the light. The pic above was taken the same day I laid the PD on, so it hadn't fully cured. Also, over time, the PD smoothed-out. I kept it on for about 4 months and never had any issues. It did save my bacon when I hit a piece of tire rubber that slapped against my rear fender.

All in all, I would look at doing it again -- if I had the right weather to contend with. I've purchased enough vinyl to wrap my car and will be going that route next.

After you peel the car, plan on getting the car detailed & waxed. The PD will pull all the wax off of your car.

I wouldn't mind plasti-dipping my winter wheels a gunmetal color. Since they're scratched to hell anyway
