Another exhaust question

Hello! I have the Hks spec L exhaust on my 18 BRZ. Its not that much louder than stock. I plan on doing catted EL headers eventually, probably the JDL, cuz its my daily and I'm in NJ. Is it worth getting a resonated front pipe? Can I get away with a non-resonated one? I want it to be louder but not obnoxious. Also has HKS fixed the problem with their front pipe?
