Bumper gap fix

So my car has pretty ugly bumper gaps. I have replaced the bumper holder pieces. (parts connected to the headlights) and it didn't help. You can see a gap in the bumper to fender line. And also under the headlights. It's really annoying. Now I recently bought these universal clips off eBay and was wondering if anyone else has tried them or something similar and if they helped before I start drilling holes in the car. Thanks in advanced.

Do they fix on the inside or outside? If outside then I think I'd live with the gap untill it's too much then buy another gapless car... They clips are ugly..

I'm honestly already at the point where I'm tired of the gaps. But as of right now I am stuck with this car. As I've got to much time and money invested in it. And haven't really been interested in any other cars lately. Maybe an 86 if they go turbo'd next iteration. But who knows. I may have already supercharged mine by then. You can kind of see it in this pic if you zoom in under the headlight. But I have the bumper to fender one pushed in for the picture. So it's harder to see

It looks okay. I would live with it unless the gaps are so big that they are causing front-end lift...

Maybe you didn't insert the bumper into the clips when you installed the bumper. The tabs on the ends get broken easily, and there is a TSB for metal clips that you can get from the dealership:

Yeah pushed them all the way in. I even heard clicks on both the sides and under the headlights. But after a day they just popped back out. The sides I can get in for a few days. But under the headlights. They just pop out and stay out if I try and push them in.

Yes. I’d take a small bumper gap over that eBay shit hanging off my bumper any day!

I was reading the post that irace86 shared and ordered some of those Subaru metal clips I also ordered some mini clips Incase that doesn't fix it. Looks pretty good to me. So I won't be using the cheap eBay clips after all lol

There was a group buy way back in 2014 for a kit for those pop tabs. I was in the initial thread. I can't remember the company anymore, but the point is there's a kit for those somewhere here. I don't even remember what they're called enough to begin to search though

Has it always had that gap under the headlight or is that just as of the last time you put your bumper on?

I took my bumper off for a test fit and when I put it back on I had an ugly bumper gap under one of my headlights. Week later I took my bumper off again to mount my splitter and when I put the bumper back on it the fitment was perfect again. That's even with a bumper clip on each side that looks like its cracked.

(will say though i'm worried I won't be as lucky next time I have to remove the bumper for a headlight install)

This bumper is new and it's been there since I installed it. I'm hopeful the metal clips will fix the issue. We will see in a week
