Ugh, it's been a while since I've tried but it might not be the 6mm. Might be confusing it with another size.. I might give it another go with WD-40. I'm just afraid of a bit of WD-40 seeping into the hole and mixing it with the oil. Is that even a big issue? Glad to hear you got yours to open though.

Supercharger coolant reservoir uses coolant, same as you put in your cars coolant. It is used to cool the supercharger/intake temps. Probably not a good idea having oil in it who knows what it’ll do to the water pump, maybe nothing though idk, depends how much probably. Personally i would drain it.

Thanks man, I honestly though it was gona be hell to get that thing loose but it worked out - I left DW-40 sitting over night and just before loosening it up I wiped it all clean. I don't think anything leaked inside the blower, I would hope not. I used a 5mm allen key and grip wrench together for extra spinning force- it came loose on the first try.

Thanks for the clarification, so Engine coolant and Supercharger coolant are all the same. If I was to remember off the top of my head I probably added about 40ml of oil...
I read somewhere online that mixing a small amount of oil for a short period of time doesn't cause catastrophic failure but its something I'll want to drain out ASAP. Then again I'm not an expert, I hope this didn't F my car up.

Will not be a problem but would suggest you add some dish detergent to the reservoir to help break the oil down before draining then top up with water and drain/flush again then you should be all good to go.

They can be a real mongrel to bleed properly so be prepared

Guys. I changed my gear oil from LIQUI MOLY 75W90 GL4+ to REDLINE 75W90NS GL5
I used a syringe to extract 120ml of oil. That's all the oil I can take out.
The remaining approximately 37 ml of oil cannot be extracted without removing the SC. Then I fill it up with new REDLINE oil. Some of them are mixed.
I'm worried about what's going to happen with the remaining 37 milliliters of oil(LIQUI MOLY GL4+) and the new oil(REDLINE GL5). Is that ok?
Thx. Lee.

Do not put soap in the cooler. If you must, use radiator flush but not necessary. Just change one more time.

Mixing two high quality modern gear oils is fine.

GL5 should be backward compatible with GL4+, shouldn't be a big deal.

But you really should be using Tribodyn.

Thanks a lot
Tribodyn looks great
But we don't have a dealer here... Maybe if we have a dealer in the future, we can use it.

You should be fine with it mixing together. Some hardcore oil bois would mix percentages of certain oils to get a certain viscosity and inhibitors.

Also, you are using the correct oil that Sprintex/Innovate requires. Per manual, it says "Use redline 75W90 NS gear oil
or equivalent spec. oil. It is critical not to overfill the supercharger gearbox as damage will occur"

Yes, last time redline sold out. I used the LIQUI MOLY. Then came the oil spill
This time I went back to redline. See if things get back to normal.
PS:The LIQUI MOLY 75w90 I use is “GL4+”. The redline is actually “GL5”.
I think I can't make a mistake by following the instructions this time

Hey sorry to resurrect a 4 year old comment but I'm wondering if you ran into any issues letting the Supercharger oil run almost dry. I actually did the samething... let my supercharger oil run really low - Not thinking it would go through so much oil in so little time. I siphened the sludge and topped it off already but I'm paranoid to push the car passed 4k rpms now. I dont even track my car it's only for weekend pleasure drives. Is it possible that there is some internal damage to the supercharger?

He hasn’t logged in, in almost 3 years.

Very possible. But depends a lot on how low, for how long, and how hard it was driven.
But the dmg is done if any was done.
Top her off, and keep driving as normal. Most likely not going to do more damage to anything else. If its damaged whatever was damaged will need replacing regardless. So Just send it. After warming up do a couple good hard pulls, listen for any weird sounds during and after, and if it survives and doesn’t make weird noises. Your probably good.
