Ahhhh..........yes, @cdrazic93, where were we.

Yes, I had a good nap thank you. Naps are like women, all are good in bed, some are just better than others.

Oh yes, I see where you are talking about.

Such a beautiful drive …… only 2.3 miles long. Yep, it’s posted 45 mph (except for the suggested 35 mph on a .5 mile stretch).

Now, at 45 mph, that would take you about 3.9 minutes; at 30 mph, it would take about 4.6 minutes. So, you could save ¾ of a minute on that stretch.

What I would suggest is to take that 1 minute out of your busy 1,440 minute day and ……. slow down and enjoy the scenery along that road.

I’ll betcha you will live longer …….. thus gain many, many more minutes for your lifetime ………

Yes, its quite beautiful when youve seen it rarely. Hardly beautiful when you see it every. day. Its the same thing over again.

I agree about the scenery, its great; theres a pretty decent spirited road near the school you passed, about N 135°W following Duthie Hill Rd. (the coordinates are the only way I can define the road while a bit sloshed)

Anyway, the point is, waking up at 6 to go to class at 8. I see this everyday. Visual beauty ages like milk guys, lets be honest. After 15 yeears of seeing this everyday it gets old. Then I turn my attention to other things, like going obnoxiously slow on a 45 mph road.

FYI; the guy who owns the castle was a microsoftie who cashed out in the 90's. Went to school with his kid, who only attended half the school day.

Yes, while im sure those numbers true, I would like you to drive on this road for a week and tell me your average speed.

My speed limit is 60 or 55 depending on which side of the Columbia I'm on. Guess what my average speed has been for the last 10 years.

The point was that even at the minimum speed you cited you only lose a minute. Learn patience and trust in the numbers or as an engineer you will fail.

Haha... Damn asterisk in the URL bit me so I did the imgur shuffle.

Yeah, I-5 across the Columbia. I'm just suggesting the sooner you learn the zen of traffic the better. Just gotta *cough* roll with it.
