Everything seems to be together 100%, however it turns out that the hood and the cold air intake clamp rub. This picture is after only about 10 or so miles of driving around. I saw that some were mentioning carefully hammering their hood in to provide the needed clearance. Does anyone have pictures of this or other things they did to resolve this?
Might the short leg of the 90deg elbow be a touch too long, therefore pushing the cold air pipe up too much? It is bolted through the top mounting point, though it seems to be more stressed upward than it should be. Are these silicone elbows able to be trimmed a tiny bit without 'fraying' or something weird like that?

This does happen on some cars, even though there's about 10mm of clearance , the hood moves around such a lot at speed it flexes enough to touch

if you want to add clearance then get the metal hot with a hot air gun ( not enough to blister the paint) and use a sand or lead shot bag to spread the load of a swift tap with a ball-peen hammer

Good day to all.

Would a cosworth kit with 35000 km be trustworthy as second hand? Is there something I should look for prior proceeding with any action? And finally is the price of 3200 euros considered normal?

Thanks for any feedback in advance guys!

I bought mine second hand just because one popped up for sale local to me at the same time I was about to purchase. I've had a few teething issues with it but it's all been install related and no fault of the Cosworth parts.

I would buy one used at a good discount before buying new. Be advised, you WILL need a new set of the Cosworth intake gaskets, no exceptions.

I would pressure test the manifold and the heat exchangers just to be sure there are no cracks. You don't want antifreeze running into your engine due to a leak. These kits are designed to last the life of the car. So I would not worry about it being used. Just want to make sure it hasn't been damaged...

Hello

its £3700 + VAT ( so 20%) while we're all in europe
however if you wait a few more weeks we may be out of europe so no VAT to pay just whatever your customs decides is appropriate

shipping would also be on top

and this is a stage 2 kit but we also include the air filter and low temp thermostat ( stage 1) these days
the only thing you don't get is a licence or ECU tek kit but the tune is included

The benefits of a colder thermostat on knock resistance are very apparent, but I'm curious what other effects there are. Is it possible to quantify any increase in wear and fuel consumption?

A bit lower oil temps. If I remember correct in the range of 5 C. I am not aware of any changes in wear or fuel consumption.
