Clear sticker on back edge of lower door frame

I just noticed that on both door frames there is a clear plastic protective type sticker on the very back lower corner. It is right on the curve of the corner and extends from the inside of the door frame out onto the actual exterior of the car. Is this supposed to be there? I told my dealer to leave all the protective wrap in place when I picked up the car so I'm not sure if I should be peeling these off or not.

Yea. That's normal. It's like clear bra material. I just left mine on there.

I'm assuming its for the people going to the back seats to help protect the edge

The only people that will fit in the back seat are the ones without legs, so I guess I don't have to worry about them hitting the edge...

Interesting. The gf and I are both right about 6 ft and the back of the front seats are literally pressed up against the front edge of the back seats. Maybe this only works if the people in the front are shorter.

the person in shotgun just needs to scoot up until they have ~ 1 cm knee /glovebox room.
he/she can lean back a fair bit because the backseat actually dips in quite a bit.

Mind you these drives are +2 hours long too and they tell me they're pretty comfortable.

Sounds like the door edge protectors, I would leave it on.

Agreed. Although, I am a really small guy (around 5"5) so it is pretty easy to fit a person in behind me.
