lol, that reminds me. i can't even remember the name of the show anymore. but growing up, when i was probably 9-10 there was a model building tv show, possibly on the public-access channel.

it was always entertaining to me to watch, as they'd showcase some ridiculous over-the-top builds, and then had a 'send us your problems/ask the experts' segment of model building that went wrong, and how to do it better next time.

i just remember one segment of that show where a kid was trying to build a pickup truck of some sort. he used glue like it was going out of style, and then attempted to paint all the intricate details of the model after assembling it, but then appeared to use a full size household paintbrush. the silver spring was half the undercarriage, the black rollbar on the back of the yellow truck cab was half yellow, and the cab was half black...

We got my son an airbrush setup for Christmas. He is into these little war robot men things that you use for games. I'll have to take some pictures.

as long as the words are tiny, and the numbers don't go above the amount of fingers he's got, it ought to be fine.

The simplicity is why I think it would be funny to do a realistic finish on it.
I was always a fan of the Werner Voss paint scheme.
