So my wheel weights don’t fly off when I’m on track.
Tried to remove all of them since I’m getting new tires but they’re pretty difficult to remove without leaving any residue.

I have always had good luck using heat foil tape. It forms pretty well around the weights and you don't have to use so much of it.

Started prepping the car for winter..
Took the front lip off.

Probably one of the last hand washes I will be able to do this this year, unless I torture my self with a rinseless garage wash.

The tree in the driveway dumped its leaves. Perfect for a photo!

The leather on my wheel is scratched to hell so I thought I'd give this a go.

Way more tedious and challenging that I expected. Not 100% happy with final results but I can always cut out threads and redo sections later.

Half way shot.

Edit: installed.

Installed CUSCO differential mount collars.

Wow! I wish I bought and installed these earlier. So much more traction off-the-line, especially in wet weather. Throttle-induced oversteer is also now more predictable/easier to catch. A must-have mod in my opinion.

In terms of NVH with this mod, seems it varies depending on what other drivetrain/subframe stiffening mods you have. So far, I have TRD engine mounts and TRD subframe braces. In the near future, I'll be adding TRD transmission mount and CUSCO shifter retainer bushings. With that being said, not really much change in NVH for me right now, just occasional faint gear whine when accelerating in 1st gear (straight-cut gear type of sound). It's not an annoying sound (to me), and easily unnoticeable if I have the stereo playing.

Are these like the Whiteline ones and just fit over the OEM bushes?

Yes, they are also inserts that fill the gaps of the OEM bushings.

That really is a heck of a lot to attribute to a couple of stiffer diff casing mounts.

I'm surprised also, but it is what it is I didn't have any high expectations prior to install, but the difference was evident since driving it after install.

Where I live, it rains A LOT, so I know how easy it is to break traction in the wet after daily driving this car for 8 years/150,000km. The amount of traction the car has now simply was not there prior to these bushing inserts.

I can also confirm. I had the Whiteline version and could immediately tell the difference once I took them off. There is an appreciable delay between throttle application and the torque deployment to the wheels. I miss them. NVH increase was minimal as well

Car is in full winter mode. I really tortured the rear tires last winter. They were brand new at the start of the season and they have about 6-7/32 left

Did a little bit of undercoating with fluid film black.
