UOA results of my DD/Weekend/Track 17 BRZ

Just wanted to add another data point to those that are wondering how the FA20 engine wears under aggressive driving/track conditions. I was pondering the idea of adding an oil cooler to my car since it will see some track use but this is my daily and our Canadian winters are harsh, I was not sure if adding an oil cooler would over cool the oil during winter season. In addition, I didn't like the idea of adding additional failure points to my engine for the 3-4 hours of total track use per season. I figured I will do a UOA to see how my engine was doing before deciding if an oil cooler is warranted.

A little info on how I use my car. Though this is my daily, because of covid, I have not been using it much for commuting purposes. It's more of a weekend hooning and occasional track car. While I do drive it aggressively, I never abuse my car. I will always idle the car for about 15-20 secs to allow time for oil to circulate before driving off. I ALWAYS drive like a granny until the oil is fully warmed up. I also never lug my engine. But the car does see multiple redline visits per drive cycle.

Here are the details on my car and oil sample:

Mileage on car: 17,000 miles
Total mileage on oil: 3,000 miles
Track mileage: 120 miles (about 2 total hours of track used broken up into 15-20 mins sections)
Track oil temp: 265-270F
Oil cooler: None
Oil Brand: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, 5W-30

I am no expert at reading these reports but the results are around the average that I have seen on this forum. Not sure what is going on with the fuel dilution but I suspect it's from the 2nd/last track day as the sample was taken the day after. Lots of WOT where the car is running rich. I am thinking that my engine is wearing perfectly fine and likely will not be adding an oil cooler, if anything, maybe a Forrester unit.

Thanks.

I think the fuel dilution part is only notable because the other analysis companies like blackstone don't test for fuel dilution (guessing unless you ask for it).

This is good to know. I didn't realize Blackstone did not test for fuel dilution.

Blackstone does check for fuel dilution. Fuel% - 4th line in the bottom section.
