Thanks. I was going to buy a truck cash, but the truck market being what we discussed a dozen pages ago I think I will be better off putting a good amount down and financing part of it to get into something that will last me a long time.

i listed my truck sunday on facebook. figuring i'll make an attempt to sell it privately for a week, and if nothing transpires by the weekend, i'll play the numbers and trade it in on a tacoma as long as it's still available.

excellent time to be selling right now though. carmax offered to buy it from me for $4k--had been trading for about $2k last year... i paid $5k 4-ish years ago. of course, i dumped about $4k into it in repairs...

If it's less than $500/mo car payment average than you won.

So I've been googling to see if there's something I can fix and all the results I see are either:

1. "How to properly load a dishwasher because you're doing it wrong!"
2. "Is it safe to put eyeglasses in the dishwasher?"

Yes, apparently people try to put their eyeglasses in the dishwasher...

Anyway, no result on what I'm actually looking for. I'm wondering if maybe I need to buy new shelves .
I suggest you go on line and look up the manual for the dishwasher and see how they suggest loading it. Also, check the price for a new shelf.

I would also suggest you lay the glasses in at a slight angle.

I don't understand, if you made a down payment on something, how can you own everything free and clear?

If you're looking for parts, best option is going to be used appliance places. Have a couple shops, usually on the rougher parts of town near me, they've got stacks upon stacks of refrigerator drawers, because after about 2 years, the mfg stops supporting it, and the prices for those parts goes up to incredible levels.

The one shop said he had a guy come in, got quoted by Samsung $900 for a single broken drawer...

Man, first Subaru makes a non-AWD car with the BRZ. Now they're making a car without a boxer engine. I don't even know what the company is anymore. It better come in blue.

Yesterday, I got moved into new cubicle space (1 cubicle over). This morning, I was so confused why my stuff wasn't there anymore... cuz I was at the old cubicle.

Lack of sleep is getting to me.

I've done similar, except with my car....

A couple of decades ago I worked 12 hour shifts for two years in a very large data center for a very large airline. The Data Center was next to a Wendy's and there was a pizza joint and a Waffle House directly across the street. Normally I would walk to lunch.

Sometimes, if I had to run an errand for lunch that required driving, A would stop at one of these places for lunch afterwards. On 4 separate occasions in two years I would go in, eat lunch, then walk back to the Data Center, brain disengaged, leaving my car in the restaurant parking lot.

I would then come out of my shift 6 hours later, looking around trying to figure out what happened to my car.

I did this more than once at work.

Our large parking lot was about 1/4 mile down the street past the methadone clinic, across from the morge. There are about a dozen spaces in the street right in front of the building. They were tough to get. Several times I would come back from lunch and be lucky enough to get a spot in front. Then I would get off and walk all the way to the big lot to realize my car was right in front.
