For those of you running an intercooler, how did you bleed the system? I have the FA20Club/Sprintex kit. My pump is definitely running, reservoir is completely full, but I don't think it's fully bled.

I've been squeezing the hoses while the pump has been running, squeezing them while the car is running, but my reservoir fluid level doesn't seem to be dropping. This is making me suspicious that I don't have any fluid in the hoses, pump, heat exchanger and intercooler.

So, how are you guys bleeding the system???? Thanks!

I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow, but seeing as the bottle is at the top of the system, it should pretty much do itself so long as the pump is able to move water round the system. How much fluid have you put in the system? The standard I/C kit should take 2.2l IIRC.

I started thinking of an oil cooler and radiator. Would you guys say they are necessary for track use? Any recommendations?

Verify the pump is actually pushing water around. You can do this by disconnecting a clamp/hose post-pump. If significant water flow is seen while the pump is on then it is flowing.

Also as a test, try to reduce the water level in the reservoir to about 1/5 full. Turn the pump on and see if you see water swishing around / flowing in the reservoir. It should be very obvious if it is.

Thanks - I was actually in the process of doing this, as well as modifying the pump location. I read that it's much easier to bleed, if the inlet of the pump is below the outlet. So, we'll see how that goes.

I'll siphon out some of the coolant in the reservoir as well. Thanks for the tips.

Does anyone know of any retailers selling this kit for better than the usual $3195.00 plus free shipping? Thanks!

Just contact some of them and ask for their best shipped price. Better yet, if one is local, buy local.

I have a write up on oil temperatures and coolers in my build thread linked in my signature if anyone is interested. It's too long to repost.

Using torque app (I'm not sure how accurate it is), I'm getting around low 5 second (5.1 my best) very hard to launch the car without spinning wheels through 1st gear and half of 2nd gear. No 1/4 yet.
