Anybody that has experience with the STI motor mounts, do they reduce the drivetrain slop any or much at all? Like say when you let off the throttle or get back on do you get less slop than with the stock mounts? I'm still NA btw, but have been eyeing these to install along with my whiteline positive shift kit I have already.

@Summerwolf
Try Japanese import sites like Nengun or Blackhawk Japan. I have used them a lot to good success. Prices are pretty much on par with what is being sold in US marketplaces (if it can even be found anyway), though obviously you can benefit from a little shopping around. I found that when I bought TRD motor mounts from Blackhawk Japan shipped via DHL, the total came out pretty much the same as STI mounts from US marketplaces. I had a set of Blitz Gauges in the same order, and that made overall cost with shipping pretty reasonable. However, check the shipping quote before you finalize the purchase. Shipping might be not be as competitive right now (depending on what you order) due to suspension of SAL Mail via Japan Post (the equivalent to the USPS). Suspension of package acceptance is EMS, not SAL. this is mostly because of a reduction in commercial flight capacity.

UPS, DHL, Fedex should still work. UPS usually is way overpriced, but DHL/Fedex, though not japan-post cheap, often have reasonable shipping costs.

Swapped to the cuscos.
20mins of driving later. Swapped back to STI lol. those aren’t no joke. Will be putting up a almost new set of cusco mounts on classifieds soon. Probably doesn’t help all the other drivetrain mount/insert/ 1pc driveshaft. |
