Powered by MAX Comp Coilover Lower control arm review/Install

Powered by Max Comp Coilover lower control arm install/review

Before (stock suspension)

I started on the rears and since we were installing lca's and coils we took everything off except for the two nuts that hold the coil to the body inside the trunk.

Lower control arm and rear coil installed. There is two holes to mount the coilover in, top hole is 20mm lower bottom is 45mm lower. I didn't have the balls to try the bottom hole ..... yet

Front stock suspension removed

After install. i plan on going lower but the stock end links up front wouldn't let me.

Everyone told me how stiff and uncomfortable pbm coils were, but I knew they made quality products so I went out on a limb and did it. To my surprise they are nowhere near as stiff as people made them out to be. They are pretty damn comfortable and take dips and uneven roads better than any other coil I've ran before. Ive been on pbm's for about 3 weeks now and i have the the dampening set to 7/12 clicks all around. With this set up you have an insane range of ride height adjustiblity, you can go super super low on these. I have no complaints other than every once in a while you will hear a pop or in the rear at low speeds or on steep inclines. Overall this is best coil over I've owned and I reccomend this set up to anyone looking for a quality set of suspension with out killing your wallet.

thanks for looking!!

How is the camber adjustment in the rear? Is it pretty easy to get to without taking the LCA down?

its pretty simple one bolt and you gotta unjam a few nuts locking in camber specs .

Are you gonna buy new endlinks so you can lower more?

Hmm I've always loved PBM but was hesitant based on the spring rates. You'll have to keep updating I'd be curious how these hold up with time

Yes toe arms are a must! I was toeing out so bad before we go them on. My boys over @fteightysix hooked it up on a let minute set of spc toe arms so i wouldn't fuck up my tires.

Ill be totally honest with you i love how they ride. its not as stiff as people make them out to be. the only thing they are quite a bit noisier than stock espessialy on super bumpy roads and steep inclines but then again people don't buy aftermarket part for how stealth they are ahah. Ive been on them for about a month and a half now and i don't have a single complaint

I'm surprised you need toe arms...

you shouldn't need toe arms for anything under -5 camber in the rear.

Incorrect. Anytime you change camber by using rear lower controls arms it messes with the toe.

I know, I'm just saying I have the same LCA's and I'm running almost -4.5 camber in the rear with the oem toe arms...

Well thats awesome to hear. So would you suggest them as a DD setup with maybe very occasional autox/track/drift? I'm talking like 95% DD ha, have the track bike for the real stuff, definitely building the car for a nice looking DD.
