FBM drag car to 2JZ/CD009/FuelTech skreet car build

In 2014 I drove the Full Blown Motorsports R&D car during its FA20 engine development where we took it to the (once upon a time) FA20 record of 10.34.
After all the FA20 FBM parts were made the car sat in the corner of the shop with my name still on the window. I made the offer to make it mine, and with the guys at FBM basically being my brothers I brought it home.
I immediately ordered a 2JZGTE non-vvti from Ichiban JDM in California as FBM had just come out with the mounts.
I've been chipping away at the build for a couple years now with the help of FBM. I'm looking to Spring 2020 to be complete. Here's the list:

2JZGTE- stock rebuild with BC 264 cams

FBM Parts:
Engine Mounts
CD009 Conversion with Clutch Masters 850 twin disc
14.1 lb. FBM spec Carbon Driveshaft by QA1
8.8 rear diff conversion with TruTrac
"2JZ The World" turbo manifold
FBM spec double adjustable rear coil-over kit by QA1
Double pump hanger in trunk mounted fuel cell

Pure Automotive Timing belt tensioner kit
Gforce Engineering Outlaw axles
Borg Warner S366
Fuel Tech FT600 management

The end game for the build is a 750hp street car with A/C that I can drive to work on Fridays, drag race on the weekends, and drive it home. There isn't really a class this car would fit into so ultimately I just want to send one or two automatic hotrods home on any given bracket day, drive it home and have a BBQ.

Here are some recent pictures of the grind

Good stuff, Steve. I'm jealous of that rear end!

I'm looking to do the same thing next year, with the exception of using stock instrument panel w/ PA's Motec system + harness.

Though I'm torn between a drift setup I can also take and autox from time to time, or just a drag setup...both being daily drivers with A/C like yours, but no cage.

Congrats on this build!

Edit: Didn't read parts list and asked dumb question.

You must have an Eagle Eye patch on your sleeve.

Awesome stuff, always nice to see other folks with similar backgrounds in racing...
I raced a similar 02 KCS "top fuel" up to 2006

Steve - I know you said 750hp (assuming that's on race gas, correct me if I'm wrong), but what kind of power are you expecting to put down on regular pump? E85?

Asking selfishly, as I'm trying to see what I should be expecting from 93 Oct (only 1 E85 station within 30 miles of me).

Well, I'm shooting for 750 whp knowing the turbo will be the limiting factor. It may end up 730 whp or so but it'll be run on pump E85 with a flex sensor hooked up to the FuelTech to manage. Here in Minnesota we have E"85" everywhere so I haven't had a performance car on non-ethanol ever, so I'm not sure what the power limitations would be for 93 octane. I did consider trying to run non-ethanol pump, achieve power goals, and possibly cut down on the fuel pumps needed but out here that's like saying you're going to run a carburetor just because. lol.

I've been working on plumbing lately, and killing time with fittings and $100 Jegs orders to save up for the spendy axles.

More details being done.. Recently the Corbeau seats and brackets fitted (brackets from a 240), and the connection from internal slave to MC.

Also completed the heater hose re-route that Clash0901 did in his build thread. Thankful for that top tip for sure. It's done, and the Outlaw axles from Gforce are in the works!

How close are the 240 brackets?
Parts for those are so much cheaper.

I used some stepped coil-over brackets and bolted them to the factory floor. The stepped up brackets helped keep the sliders clear of everything. Then I set the seats on top and checked the seat position to the cage. Swiveled the brackets to the most ideal location and spot-welded them when the seat was in place. Finish welded them and painted.

P.S. Can someone let me know if the pictures are coming through all jacked up on this thread? It's been so long since I posted pics on a forum I'm still using free Photobucket.
