I think what he meant was that the 800+ miles are your own, so it shouldn't really count against the car... unless you drove like a maniac from day one.

I'm saying if I don't agree to the new terms then they will get a car back with 800 miles. ... I commute a lot. ... so it would be in their best interest to convince me to keep it right?

We sold actual dealer demo "new" cars with thousands of miles, and we sold "new" cars that had been driven by a buyer for a week or less with hundreds of miles. The deals will slap a sticker in there and tell the new buyer a salesperson won a contest and got to drive the car for the weekend, sorry for the miles, ill take $300 off and give you a tank of gas.

I personally wouldn't buy a new car with more than 10 or so miles on it, but PLENTY of people will. The dealership will fight and convince you to re-sign, so that they don't lose a car deal. They won't have much of a problem selling it again. If you are okay with the terms and like the car, sign and keep driving.

Also, might I add onto what I said about not buying a new car with more than 10 miles.. if there was 800 miles on it, all having been driven by me, id be perfectly fine with it. I've got just over 11k on mine right now, and I think of it as brand new still, and worth the price of new at that! But that's my own head, because I know how I've treated this car

So you let them take the rebate back and increase the price / payment... what was the point of this thread then? :-)

Nice Man! Congrats on getting it

What caused the 9 more dollars? Thats roughly like 2-3 point rate difference, I think.

9 bucks is not much at all though, as my car-sales mentor used to say, "Just skip eating fast food 2 or 3 times a month at the most, and you've got it! haha
