Alignment / Corner Balance

Hey folks.

I had a few questions since I'm not so knowledgable about suspension. I am going to have my ST coilovers installed this weekend. The next step would be to have an alignment / Corner Balance. I've read that it's important to have a CB done before an alignment. I'd like to know if this is true? Also, I'm still on stock tires / wheels. I'm waiting for my wheels to become available, which might takes some weeks, even past a month. If I were to get an alignment, or corner balance (or both) and then later change out my wheels and tires, My question is, would I have to have my alignment / CB to be re-done again? Also, the specs on the wheels I'll be getting are 18x8.0 5x100 +40 offset if that helps with anything.

Thanks for your input.

get the corner balancing done after you swap out wheels. waste of money imo to get it on stock wheels/tires unless your race setup is to use stock wheels/tires and you are anal about your car's specifications for the races.

Yeah, I just wanted to know what the right approach to take would be, while also trying to save a little money if I had to re-do them again. Thank you

How low you thinking of going? Just be sure and get all your suspension parts in before you get it aligned/cb.

To be honest I'm not quite sure lol. I'd like to have a 1 or 2 finger gap in between the tire.

I think I read somewhere that you shouldn't go lower than 1.5 inches. That's like the sweet spot of stance/handling.

Definitely in the near future, but I think I can actually have it a tad higher or just go with the 'sweet spot' around 1.5. I'll also be purchasing some spacers because I really don't know how long it'll take for the wheels to arrive and then be shipped from Canada to my door step. Spacers really help the stock wheels stand out. I'll probably also plasti-dip them black next weekend because the two-tone look is incredibly hideous. This should suffice till my wheels arrive
