My first deposit was returned with zero hassle. I was told it was refundable at any time for any reason when I made it though.

EDIT: Following up to confirm I had no issues getting the deposit back as promised.

Yep. It is totally up to the dealer in how they handle it.

My understanding is that the next GR86 allocations will all be processed as "stock", later in October. Most of these will actually belong to "factory orders" already placed. They are holding off on allocating and actually showing the dealers any allocations that would arrive in 2023 until the 2022 year end projection is finalized. They have been "allocated", they just will not be released and made visible to dealers until those projections are finalized.

So in a few weeks I expect to see a much larger list of "stock", however I expect the large majority will be quickly marked off as sold by each dealer

I believe as always you are right. My dealer helped me check every week saying no 86 showing up these days.

Just got a call from my sales rep saying that he'd have a list of all of my local dealership's incoming 86s on the 15th. Keep an eye out, people! Hopefully mine is on that list too
