So something to just keep in the back of your head if you seem to start experiencing those issues. Personally, just hearing the rear bar disconnected makes me think they were already battling these issues in earlier life.

Perhaps PO's thinking on the rear pads were trying to prevent the rear brakes from screwing around with the LSD, as they do clamp in some instances during yaw even with stability control completely off. Honestly, don't overthink it just match the rear pads and drive the car. I've run AP Racing BBK with 2500s all around for the past 2 years. It works. The rear pads are so small to begin with the last thing I'd want to do is shift bias more up front with an HPS pad.

Verus Engineering IIRC is one of the only "legal" solutions that is available for the car still with an STX compliant bushing. I personally have RacerX, but they stopped production it seems.
Got it thanks.

And Yea, in previous cars I've found HPS to be an overpriced garbage pad that was stock equivalent if not worse. I'll swap something a bit better in at some point

Honestly I doubt I'd change anything before first autocross back (whenever the heck that will be) but may try connecting rear bar should time allow between runs.

I like the threaded adjustment too, but even buying used parts I think it'll be hard to beat the value of the Whiteline/SPC LCA with a legal bushing pressed into it. Once you figure out what toe/camber you like back there for stability and tire wear odds are you won't want to touch it.

Be aware on the arms that provide multiple adjustment holes or static lowering, not ST* legal, but I think they have OE positions so as long as you bolt the damper/swaybar into the right hole it should be fine.
I still find it crazy that the SPC control arm is legal for SSC and not STX

It was surprisingly easy to put the DIFtech bushings in the SPC arms. Used HF press to get the bushings out, then used a bench vise to insert the DIFtech pieces.

Honestly, if I wasn't converting from SSC, I probably would have seen where the stock arms put my alignment.

Yeah plenty of people have run stock arms. Teddie's car is stock arms, Jeff's car was stock arms. So long as you dont have any rear damage I think it puts you around -2 with a reasonable rear drop.

I have racer-x but my bushings weren't happy so I bought DIF bushings and had my buddy just build me some cups for them that thread into the racer-x arms.

Way more complicated solution haha.

After buying Diftech steering rack bushings, I think I would just have him make Delrin inserts for the RacerX parts, mail him the rod ends to get the old marshmallows blasted out, should be what, $100, maybe $150 for the custom work based on his current bushing prices.

Local machine shop could probably do it for the same or less, but he knows the car stuff so it'd probably be right the first time.

Yeah, that makes sense. I just went about it the other way.

Similar result.

How do you get to -2 camber on the rear with stock lca?

Is it just from being lowered?

Yes, mine is around -2.6, still with stock arms.

A guy local to me is selling Tarmac 2s, I'm more than likely going to buy them. Does anyone have any experience with them? How hard is the rebound adjuster to reach while in grid, etc?

Rebound adjuster on top, easy to reach under the hood and you can get to it through the trunk fairly easily.

Compression adjuster on bottom, not too much trouble to reach if you don't mind getting on the ground.

Just got finished doing the 'base' build on my first STX twin. First event is this weekend. See how she feels and make adjustments.
Intial setup:
2017 PP BRZ
RCE T2's
Vorslag camber plates
Hotchkiss front bar, 1" hollow on soft with end links
Verus rear LCA's
949 6UL 17x9 +40 wheels
255/40 A052s
UEL header with OFT
HKS Hi-power catback
Corner balanced to near 50% cross weight
Alignment:
Front, -3.9 camber, 0.0 toe
Rear, -2.5 camber, 0.40 total toe

Any thoughts/advice?

how do those fit up front? also did you get custom 6ul because the offset is +40? I only have -3.1* front and at full lock my tire BARELY touches the liner
