Is there a way to remove the spoiler?

I really like the additional features on the Limited trim but I hate that damn spoiler. Is there a way to remove it short of ordering a premium lid and replacing it?

From what I understand, there will be holes on your trunk. That's why Limited owners don't just buy aftermarket spoilers. You gotta find someone to do a trunk swap with otherwise the new spoiler won't cover all the holes.

Get a TRD lip spoiler that will cover the holes.

There are a few spoilers that cover the hole fine.

You should have no problem finding a Premium or FRS owner who wants to swap.

Does anyone know if the TRD spoilers cover the holes?

I will say, I was not digging the spoiler at all on my Limited, and even talked to the dealer about swapping for a Premium trunk lid for no cost, the problem is that all of the Premium models at multiple dealers were coming with stock spoilers. That said, the spoiler has grown on me... But the TRD is more my style.

The TRD covers the holes. But on the two cars I've had, there were scratches in the paint around the ends that were caused by the stock spoiler, and the TRD didn't extend over that area.

Use it to your pricing advantage...I didn't want a spoiler but the one that came on the truck had one...I didn't pay for it in the end...my free spoiler has grown on me...lol

How bad were the scratches? Can it be buffed?

One of them could have been. On my current car, it's down into the primer. Subaru was willing to repaint the trunk, but after the trouble I had with the TRD piece, I just touched it up and put the stock spoiler back on. I figure having anything repainted is probably not going to end as well as I'd want.

I don't want to imply that all cars are scratched...I just know that the two I've owned were. Both on the passenger side only, FWIW.
