6 speed manual with 4.3 gears is 3250rpm at 70 mph (3100rpm with 4.1 gears). I get 33mpg highway with the 4.3 gears.

I probably would listen the whistle of recirculation valve (which is an annoying sound) if I cruise 70 mph above 3000 rpm (5th gear, maybe 4) since supercharger is overspinning and telling me to upshift. It is a totally different driving experience with AT gear ratios. Good to keep in mind since I really want to get a second 86 AT before it disappears from the show rooms. This car is a deal of century for the price - at least to me.

Finished reading all these 39 pages of this thread. A question just came in my mind, at this present time, how is the chances to not see a new 2nd gen 86/BRZ?

i average 20-22mpg... but it's a significant gain over my last car with a 3.0 v6, which averaged around 7-10mpg

Need to have 3 sides.
Could be released as per their original plan. Whatever that actually was.
Could be delayed for an indefinite period.
Could be canned completely.

nah, just 2 sides. the last 2 can be combined considering that anything over 3 months might as well count to most people as NEVER EVEAH COMING OUT...

remember, a minor change in social habits for 2 months is somehow justified as being called 'a new normal'. so by that justification, 3 months is a time span longer than an eternity...

We have no idea what the new normal will be. It won’t be the old normal but we certainly are not there yet.

Not Tcoat, but I just did the same thing, I'm really happy with the trade. Originally I wasn't planning to sell my 1st one but I realized I wasn't going to want to drive it after testing the TS. Car is tighter, even more responsive, throttle improvement from the gears and reworked engine in 2017 is noticeable and ultimately it just seems better made.

Your car is still new. Wait until you have 20 or 30k on it with a free flow exhaust. It may never be as good as you had but it will get better than what you see now.

That is my hope!

I am NOT wearing god damned gloves to drive my commuter car. I have no need to play race car driver. I will just make sure I get loads of coffee on it to make it sticky.
