We should look at organizing a meet up sometime this summer again. I missed the last one by moments, haha.

They weigh 17 lbs each for 17x7. SSR Type C are just under 15 lbs, so not a huge difference, but I think the Type C look much better.

Really nice choice, love those rims! 57DR was my first choice if I did 9" wide, but in the end I couldn't convince myself to do it despite how much I liked the look. You'll have to let me know if it's still possible to slide the car with those on, since that was my dilemma. On the upside it will probably have super grip.

Yeah, I'd like to do another meet too! At the end of May I'm getting the roof and bumper repaired, so it should be good as new after that.

How would that work in terms of warranty I wonder... especially given I'd never trust a dealer to do the install...

I can't imagine what they are going to charge for that car ... 30k car, 10k parts, probably 10k+ in labour between the vortech and RB ...

I had posted a link of an edmontin dealer selling one for 43k.
also I doubt they will sell it.. its more of a show piece

I spoke with someone in sales, they are asking 40k for the vortech kit. 10k for the kit, install, and 3 yr 100k km warranty isn't actually as bad as I expected from a dealer.

Went and took a look at an FRS, stumbled upon the white one with the big wing in the showroom but it was sold, sat in it ... just hopefull it doesn't get trashed.

Either way, I'd rather build something myself then just buy something the dealer through together, who knows how well their techs did the install and what tune and such

I would be livid if I found out that they were letting people still sit in the car I just purchased...that is not cool. Before purchase is fair game. But once its done, fuck that its my car now. But still why buy that one? Lol.
