OpenFlash Tablet Stg 2 Tune (Dyno Progress)

Greetings,
We are in the process of finalizing our Stage 2 baseline tune. This tune, which will be available for download and viewing, is intended for cars with headers and exhausts. Still running the stock intake and filter on our car but will be testing a proper CAI intake this upcoming week. And then testing shortly thereafter on E85. But so far things are progressing quite well thanks to the Subaru tuning gurus at Vishnu Tuning.

Below are results comparing our stock 2013 FR-S (6MT) to it modified with 4-2-1 catless headers+full catless exhaust and our Stage 2 tune. Both runs on 93oct.

Hope to make a few more hp later this week with the CAI and then more after that with E85. We will keep you guys posted.

Awesome. I plan on having I/H/E, as well as lightweight: flywheel, pulleys, driveshaft, wheels, and brakes. Would those parts affect the need for tweaking a tune? It seems like they wouldn't, but I don't know for sure.

We are running a 4-2-1 header that was supplied to use for testing. I don't believe it is on the market yet. Hoping to test more header designs over the next few weeks.

The biggest difference between mapping a stock car and a car that is full modified with exhaust upgrades is that the former benefits from lots of intake and exhaust cam advance while the latter only likes intake cam advance. But it can take 1-2 degrees more timing advance.

Well... it sounds like these are nameless headers. They're just not Nameless headers.

Seems pretty similar to other headers with tunes, Borla, Revworks, and etc all show very similar gains in the power band with a UEL just a different dyno which obviously won't match up due to elevation and temp. ... etc.

Try a different filter with the stock intake. A lot are saying it's just as good or better than an aftermarket intake.

Nope, it's just hardware. There's a huge ass thread about it here:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ight=openflash

I just read it a few days ago, so it's still pretty new to me too.
