Yes they do. It takes a little force, but they click in with a very audible *click*.

I'm swapping back in the stocks. I also prefer yellow over the amber. $20 learning experience. Does anyone know the stock wattage?

Necroing a long-dead thread. But I ordered these X5 bulbs and they did not click in whatsoever for me and one actually managed to drop into the headlight housing.

So just to update for anyone who may be reading this in the future...

Someone posted earlier that you will need to order 7443 bulbs for the front. This is untrue in my experience. Looking at the socket for the front turn signal, it only needs a 7440 bulb (the same as the rear signals) as it only has contacts for the 7440 type. So go ahead and order the 7440 bulb for both the front and the back.

Also, the X5 bulbs are referenced earlier DO NOT snap into place. I tried and tried and they didn't fit. The bulb eventually fell into the headlight housing. If you look at the X5 plastic base of the bulb, there are a extra tabs on it that don't allow it to seat all the way into the socket. Not sure how other members are getting this to fit. Maybe it's by brute force and they've managed to deform either the bulb base or the socket itself. Or maybe their particular build of car has a different socket? Not sure.

I haven't had any issues with my Diode Dynamics XP80 LED bulbs... (though I did have to paint the yellow base of the bulb grey to achieve a true stealth effect.)

This is the end all for this issue, buy bulbs from a reputable source like Diode Dynamics, GTRLighting, or theretrofitsource, otherwise you're asking for issues going the cheap route.

Do you know what the difference between a 7440 and a 7443 is? If you did, you would know why you want a 7443 for the front. You can use a 7443 in place of a 7440, but not the other way around. I know this because I sell lighting parts. I have 7443 bulbs all around. YOU drive a BRZ which has a single purpose for the bulbs. Don't give that "advice" to an FR-S owner.

Yup, sure do know what the difference is. Should've have specified my bit of advice was for the BRZ only (which is the model the OP owns).

But, man, I am so sorry. Would you please forgive me for my grave offense? I was incredibly stupid and rude but thank you for being the bigger person and oh so kindly pointing out the error of my ways in such a constructive way.

Haven't had a single issue with my Morimoto XB's in the front... Perfect color, stealth look, and they appear to be brighter than stock.

superbrightled bulbs always work with my last two cars and the frs. Using their turns light and its great. Color almost match my 5.5k HID for the white on.

But make sure you get the correct bulb size (SuperbrightLED does it all for you).

Bit lost.

Wouldn't the best "stealth" bulb be no bulb?
