Damn, that's sucks.

I was at the Toyota dealership yesterday picking up some parts and decided to check out the many FR-S' on the lot. I came upon one and it was already scratched in 3 different places; prob from unloading. The shitty paint is whats holding me back on this car. What a fucking shame.

Between $350-$500 for them to remove the bumper, stripe it completely down, repair and refinish it.

I wouldn't get it done until after winter is long gone.

Be careful of falling for the shitty paint 'brain wash'. My FR-S is 14 months old and has 13,000 miles on it. I don't have a single blemish yet which I admit is nothing short of a miracle but it does prove that talk of shitty paint is bs. The Miata I traded in on my FR-S looked like the front end had been hit with bird shot.

Nah, prob from the careless owners. You sound like a whiner, good idea to stick to your trucks.

If your highways are that bad, maybe consider getting a clear bra on it. Yes, the paint may be thinner compared to a older car but that's the reality now. Governments limit the amount of VOCs that can be emitted so factories have to paint thinner coats to reduce emissions.

If the foglight bezels can get pitted, even thicker paint would have taken a beating also. Cant blame the thin paint in this case.

I live in a city that also uses a lot of rocks and salt during the winter. Are you sure you didn't drive behind a sanding truck? Sure looks like you did...

It isn't. Dr colorchip doesn't leave texture.

Wow. Sorry to see that happen to ya man.

Very glad the first thing I bought for my black BRZ was an opti/clearbra. It's a very worthwhile investment, especially on a dark colored car where paint imperfections stick out like a sore thumb.

No brain wash, Subaru's paint is pretty shitty.
