I installed the fronts last weekend and plan to do the rears this weekend. It was a horrible experience during the process but looking back it only took me a couple hours to do the fronts and I have limited use of my left arm due to a recent injury that is still healing. Trust me anyone can install these

Can anyone describe this so I can picture it better in my head? Do we have to cut flaps on the stock seats or on the SARD seat covers? Are these flaps intended to be cut for the heater wires or would this be an unintended modification? Where exactly is the "top part" of the seats?

Hard to take photos as I am away from my car, but basically it has to be cut as these covers were not intended to go on the GTS/BRZ heated seats. The cut is only a couple of inches long and can be made whilst fitting the seats so you get the position exactly right

Sorry to bump an old thread: Anyone having fitment issues with the seat bottom of the front seats? In the area facing the door on the seat bottom, where you have to "tuck" the material behind the plastic, it doesn't seem to be fitting so well. Are we suppose to switch our seat bottoms side to side (compared to the GT86 instructions) since the other side has velcro, or am I missing something? There doesn't seem to be enough room behind the plastic to tuck it in anymore.

@sirsol66 It is a really tight fit buy yes you are supposed to tuck it in the plastic there and yes it does fit.

I used a plastic putty knife to push the seat cover down in there. Once I did I was able to get a great fit and it has stayed there ever since with plenty of getting in a and out of the car.

I like these seats just wish there was an option to buy without the giant logo on it.

A local engineer has the red set in his white FR-S, looked a lot nicer than expected. I'm very happy with my black ones in a hot lava car, but the car was far better than expected.
