TNGA platform = Toyota motor
Subaru chassis (old or new) = FA/FB

Also keep in mind the lightest car on the RWD TNGA is the Lexus RC at 3780lbs. The old Impreza platform we’re on doesn’t seem too bad..

We know there will be a 2nd gen 86 and BRZ. I doubt they'd collaborate with Subaru and put an inline 4 in the next gen. It's safe to assume it'll be a Subaru boxer 4.

RC is on the previous platform but I got your point, the LC is on the new platform and it clearly ain't focused on being lightweight...but I can't help but wonder what a chassis based on what the LC is built on with a shorter wheelbase and with very little insulation along with no luxury appointments could turn out to be.
