TNGA platform = Toyota motor
Subaru chassis (old or new) = FA/FB Also keep in mind the lightest car on the RWD TNGA is the Lexus RC at 3780lbs. The old Impreza platform we’re on doesn’t seem too bad.. |

We know there will be a 2nd gen 86 and BRZ. I doubt they'd collaborate with Subaru and put an inline 4 in the next gen. It's safe to assume it'll be a Subaru boxer 4.

RC is on the previous platform but I got your point, the LC is on the new platform and it clearly ain't focused on being lightweight...but I can't help but wonder what a chassis based on what the LC is built on with a shorter wheelbase and with very little insulation along with no luxury appointments could turn out to be.
