I got a reply from Vortech. They said that the serial number on my supercharger belongs to a Tuner kit they are unable to help me.

I am going back to stock.

I inherited the kit from someone else and it has an EO number on the plate and came with the Vortech ecutek programming kit and map sensor.

Carb is very picky when it comes to approved mods. They need to be by the book

Perrin intake is not carb legal.... Exhaust does not matter as long as it's post secondary cat in the FP and everything else is stock. Tune just put stock ECU back on but I am curious with CA not looking for modified ECUs... Oft should be good but I am worried ecutek might be screwed because the license file stays behind and this might mess with the checksum

perrin intake says it is ...
https://www.ftspeed.com/part/fr-s-br...t#.YPua8Y5Kjcs

the intake comes with an oe carb sitcker. All I have to worry about is the PLM UEL header. Which is like a couple of hours work to swap the stock one.

its all volkswagen fault we have to deal with the modified ecu stuff.

but the ecutek shouldnt be a problem no??? since your keeping the ecutek programmed ecu and swapping it out with stock ... there should be an issue with the license that way. Maybe I need to talk to my buddy Kevin who use to own Garage Tuning; about the ecutek thing

Well guys, i finally went to smog the car for the first time. Put all OEM things back on & Flashed back to OEM tune with CALID ZA1JB01C. I’m running a 2016 motor in my 2013. No issues whatsoever from the smog place and everything passed.

So in case anyone else was worried about things not passing… it passes

It just looks like it's possible to pass with one cat vs the two.
