That's why you get the winjets That's not the reason why LED bulb swaps for the oem halogen DRLs lose high beam functionality though, it's simply because a lot of the LED bulbs aren't designed as a high/low beam. The LED bulbs with high/low beam functionality usually have two sides with two super bright chips, one is on in the low beam configuration, they then both come on in high beam configuration. If you find one of those that should restore the high beam functionality, but quite frankly the light output of led bulb swaps isn't that great @Diode Dynamics had a great piece on why led bulbs shouldn't be used in most headlight applications
