I'm really curious to see what the price correction is now. Are we talking 5 grand below invoice? more?!

Nah that's too much. Maximum 2K or lots of BS options. Maybe some sort of warranty thrown in.

In that case, I'd get them all set up with a new FR-S, then play the message for the GM, then walk out, then complain to Toyota headquarters, then buy the car at another dealership - gives the salesman false hope - gets the GM on his ass - gets headquarters on his ass - no commission in the end - win win win |

I really want to listen to this but I'd wait to post it until they have a chance to fix the situation...

Here is my dilemma. Without getting too political in my opinion in the US we have become a very sue happy nation and one that expects to bash the hell out of someone who messes up. I have had choice words about customers but never nice ones that aren't douche bags. So I get that part. My other part is the time I've spent with this dealer and the fact that they have them in stock.
Now something needs to be done. I certainly am going to let him know this is not cool. This gentleman is in his 50's or 60's. So I plan on teaching him a lesson of some sorts. I just am not sure quite what I want to do. My wife at first laughed because she hated the idea of this car. However once he mentioned our babies momma bear kicked in and she changed her tune. Well I feel like I'm coming into this forum with a bang. More to come I guess. |

I think that's the best situation. In the Marines we always "kept things in house". I find that works in most situations. I really believe in giving people the opportunity to right wrong. We all make mistakes. I will update you all tomorrow. Thanks for listening. I hope to have a new FR-S soon either way.

I wanted to. That's why I went there. I bought a 2009 si off their Honda lot and love the experience. So I figured I would go back.

I don't think you'll be getting thousands of dollars in reparations, but I would talk to the manager and ask to buy the car at invoice price, from a different salesperson.
Good luck! |

What the hell does being 30 have to do with buying a car? I bought my FR-S at 30 because I'm an adult and I have a fucking job. You did the same. 25k is NOT a mid-life crisis car. Your dealer needs a reality check. If you went out and got a car you couldn't afford and didn't have a family contingency plan then I'd understand his comment.
Also in terms of hauling kids. I'm a single dad. My mini-me rides in the back of my FR-S. I bought him a Recaro car seat that matches the interior color. He rides better than anyone else in the car, and loves the car more than I do. TL,DR: Your dealer is an asshole.
