I can't remember if you recommended for or against changing out the clutch springs in addition to the smaller slave cylinder.

Also, if I recall correctly, you shared my philosophy on tires with good response, but less grip. Any tires you've tried and liked? I'm ordering summers this weekend.

I'll be random again soon, I promise.

Yeah, pretty sure I could. That would be a cool perk if they did. Plus, I can always charge it at work

OK, try this house I bought and it SOLD in California. The purchase price was $66,000, it SOLD last time for $1.3 million.

Hell yeah. I'd repost. It's also to be taken in context here - surviving markets.

I think it's perfect with the stock spring installed. Pins the pedal to the high stop better and doesn't interfere with clutch feel at all, IMO. Clutch is modulated right above where it really starts pulling down so it's the best of both worlds.

My second set of stock tires are going down in flames sometime this summer. Then I'll mount @humfrz hand-me-downs.

That storm hit us as well. A group of 6 of us were bringing a bunch of new Dodge Powerwagons from a base about 200 miles away to the base in London. We drove all the way just at the leading edge of the storm and then got stuck about 5 miles from the base. The people on the highway thought we were there to save them but we were as screwed as they were. We did have several cases of beer and a half a truck of ration packs. though so it was a good party until they got the road open the next day. I shipped out for Germany two days later and they were still cleaning up the roads.

We were all huddled in a bus with about 20 other people. It was a blizzard after all. It was fun though.

A Memorial Day story.

During May, June and July, of 1966, my new bride of one month and I, a new 2nd Lieutenant in the Army, arrived for a short tour at Fort Benning, GA, for me to attend the Infantry Officer Basic Course.

We were quartered in post housing, known as Battle Creek Homes, which was designated for active duty TDY Officers and the dependents of deployed soldiers.

The units were single level and all lined up dress right dress. In the warm evenings that we weren't training, we would sit on lawn chairs out front, in groups. The members of the groups were mostly dependents of soldiers that were deployed to Vietnam.

Almost every evening an Army staff car would enter the complex and stop on one of the streets. A hush will fall over the groups as a Army Officer and NCO would approach the group and ask for a dependent by name.

The Army officers wives would do their best to console the dependent notified of her husband being killed.

I will never forget the grief those women went through and the sacrifice their husbands made.

Mother Nature and adventure There's nothing better than a snow storm that paralyzes an entire city. Like Spud said, the 4 seasons are nice. The weather is always changing.

Now come February I've had enough, especially this past February...

Garage
Push mower drive belt finally showed up in the mail last night.
Pulled it apart last week for maintenance and the drive belt is unobtainable locally.
Left in pieces since then. F tha lawn! Had to amazon it.
Now I get to put it all back together this morning.

At least it stopped raining. For now.

I always think of how terrible that job is for the officer and NCO. I'd rather peel a platoons-worth lifetime supply of potato's.
