Weight would probably be decent, as the Q50 isn't as porky as the German rivals to begin with, and is actually a little lighter then the G37 the 370z is based off of. I'd wager on 3200.
The Q50/Q60 is as porky as they come. both roughly 4,000 depending on trim/options. The Z should be a good 600lbs lighter.

But the VR30DDTT is a monster, capable of pretty easily and reliably making 480whp/500ftlbs on stock turbos. 600whp/600ftlbs on pure stage 2 turbos . and AMS is making over 800whp/650ftlbs on just rods and pistons with their bigger turbos running 9s in the 1/4th.

Losing Nissan would be incredibly hard for those of us who love JDM car culture. They have been such an icon for so long. Some of my earliest car memories are watching R32 GT-Rs absolutely dominate Australian Group A touring car racing in the very early 90s... so much so that they changed the rules down under to outlaw them because the RWD V8s couldn't touch them (also, it was from Aussie Group A racing that the GT-R gained its 'Godzilla' nickname).

I did my part and bought my first ever Nissan (370Z) this year, brand new! Can I get a tax deduction for a charitable donation?

Would anyone else prefer the 400Z if the entire body was the same color, instead of the black roof? Or am I (yet again...) the only curmudgeon with old-skool tastes.

I know black roofs have been a 'thing' for a while, make a car look lower, set it apart from the rest, 'race car', etc. But I just don't like it. When I was growing up, that was what we used to do when we did backyard rust repairs and homemade paint jobs on cars. We'd paint the lower half of a car a different color (since that was where all the bondo was slathered into the car) and leave the roof original. It was easier and cheaper than trying to match it or painting the whole car. When I see a black roof with a different color body, it will always scream cheap body work and paint job to me.

That, and the 'classic' looks of the traditional sports cars of the 50s/60s I grew up with were almost always one color.

This wouldn't keep me from buying a 400Z, but I'd probably look into painting the roof.

I like what I like.

I like it on the yellow, because well that would be a lot of yellow, but in general I agree, I prefer same color.

Lol. Sorry. I guess I’m just really underwhelmed by the new Nissan. I feel like there’s so much good stuff to choose from right now. I was beating around the bush. Maybe it’s the current Z-car scene. I’m just not a fan.

I am with Hawk. It works with the yellow and probably would with a nice red but any of the modern 200 shades of grey, or white it would look off.
Do the black ones get a white roof?
