HPI stronger transmission

Hello, just wondering if anyone's had experience/knows about this transmission option from HPI (https://www.rhdjapan.com/hpi-strengt...c6-86-zn6.html)

Can't find much about it online but apparently it's tested up to 50kgm ~490nm torque.

With PAR gearsets costing 7.5k aud and PPG being 2k more than that, this might be a possible option for a stronger transmission.

Is there anything that would interfere with its installation on a LHD car?

The issue with 4th gear is not strength. It is highlighted by Jack's transmission in their build service, it puts thrust load on the circlip which damages teeth, or the clip can come off.

I don't know what differs in GR kit, but there are 4 pieces to replace.

These look like upgrades for 1st Gen so I’d assume they added these for 2nd Gen trans. Guess time will tell as well as drop the price. Need more 2nd gen at the recyclers lol

That would make sense, seeing as similar parts are not listed under the GR86 in the page.

Apparently it's just a straight swap from 2nd gen to 1st. So just a matter of needing more guinea pigs to try push 2nd gen transmission to the limits to see what it's capable of.

It'll still break, per the dude that I bought my Jack's transmission from.

Yeah, I imagine that it would if you stuck enough power to it with sticky tires. In the end it is only so strong. I know the Jacks fix takes care of a critical issue.
