Engine Code P0366

My FRS got a CEL today with P0366. I researched it and it seems to be the exhaust cam sensor based off this thread. So I got a quote from Toyota saying it'll be at least $400. Is there any damage that can occur if I don't get this fixed right away?

Hello eightsevenzero and welcome to our forum -

Down further in this site is some information.

Now that you have the code recorded, I would suggest that you erase the code by disconnecting the negative side of the battery - wait for a few swallows of beer, then reconnect it. See if the CEL returns. It could be that the system just hiccupped -
