I bet you will eventually.

There's an easy way to curb the problem of people showing up just to hawk their wares though. Over at GenCoupe we have a registered 90 days, minimum 50 posts rule. You can't post in the classifieds section unless you meet those criteria. Then people try to post outside of classifieds and those are easy to hunt down and delete.

I think there should be a 1098 post count minimum and you must be Oct 2011 or back...

A minimum membership period is actually a GREAT idea. Or a 1337 post count.

member classifieds

As the site grows I think we will need to implement a format for member sales.

Here are a few rules that we should all follow:

1. Buy/Sell/Trade here on FT86club at your own risk. Always get complete contact information before anything is shipped.

2. Post new threads in the proper forum.

3. No links to auction sites, forums or other sale sites.

4. Post a title that accurately describes what you are selling.

5. List the item(s) for sale clearly, the location you are at and post a reasonable price.

6. Product being sold must be in seller's possession. No pre-orders.

7. One thread per item sold

1 month bump rule and all replies disabled. PM only. You have no idea how well this works on other established (mature) forums.

It would work well if people followed the format...

Ad far as that goes it should be like this:

Item for sale
Item description
Price (Please list if shipping and insurance are included or if buyer is responsible)
Item location

Pictures aren't needed but you will find that items sell faster with pictures.

Name and other contact information should be handled in PM's.
