It really is. I don't want or need it for the track at this point, but man would it be nice to have around 300whp for the street.

Got the car on the lift on Sunday morning and and first removed my Touge Factory brake cooling kit since the backing plates aren't compatible with the BBK.

I got to work and finished installing:
-@Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2 coilovers

-@Raceseng CasCam top mounts and 2" bump rear shock tops

-Whiteline adjustable sway bar end links

-Essex/AP Racing Sprint big brake kit

-Porsche 911 GT3 brake air guides.

I haven't had time to really dial in the ride height aside from just eyeballing thread counts on the coils yet but I will do it later along with an alignment. The install was pretty straight forward for everything, just took my time and did things at an easy pace. The shop with lift, air conditioning and every tool imaginable are a tremendous luxury and helped everything come together more efficiently. Many thanks to @buddy32 for his help installing my coilovers! I owe you a beer!

The ride home was just as expected. Firm but very responsive and forgiving while not feeling bouncy or too stiff. Haven't done any significant corner carving yet, but I will soon enough. I also made a few shitty attempts to bed the brakes in and failed to do so effectively. They are working fine but need to bleed them again and then take them on a late night bedding romp to really get a good transfer layer before I can really say anything justifiable about them.

More to come later...

That looks outstanding. Is the AP caliper uncoated? Would that not lead to rust or corrosion or something? And do you have stainless brake lines on the front, but not the back? What's the black rubber line coming off the rear caliper?

When will you get to take it all to the track and put it through its paces?

Thanks! It's a hard anodized aluminum finish. It's not designed to be driven through road salt but we don't get a lot of that in the SouthEast.

Correct, only stainless brake lines in the front right now. You're seeing the stock rubber rear line.

Looks great! Can you post some more pics and data about the 'Porsche 911 GT3 brake air guides' you installed in your car?

Thank you, I'd love to put them on my car as well. Does it fit plug-in and play, or do I have to change something?

Regards, Jan

Did the 911 brake duct guides go right on or did you have to do some modding?

Check out this post on the previous page for more pics of how they mount for this application. They mount the same way they do on the GT3, but since our control arms don't have the same side profile they aren't fully secured without several zip ties. They have the same angle of attack and are just as functional as the pics show. They simply capture and redirect the air in the wheel wells at speed and send it to the rotors. I do not have any quantifiable data yet on how effective they are. For $34 new I figured I'd try them out since and several other owners are currently using them on these cars with no issues for track applications.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. I had wondered before, because they look like they're unfinished. Have fun on your track day! Are the Porsches getting tired of you harassing them yet?

I'm still a fan of the silicone spatula brake mod, but I guess the GT3 scoops will work too.

The spatulas have like 1/3 of the surface area and no curvature at the edges to hold the air on them before it's washed over the edge. I can't imagine they work anywhere near as effectively as the GT3 scoops.

I know, it was just funny to see black spatulas zip-tied under a GT-R.
