AU GT86 Rear view camera Plug-n-play on Canadian (Pioneer) navigation system ?

Anyone have a clue if this system would just plug and play to my CANADIAN Sport tech BRZ ? I want it to look as OEM as possible and I don't want to drill the valance... cheers !

For all rear view camera install on a 2013, you need to order that connector:
[ame="http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0088HRFJG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Subaru Replacement RCA Cord Assembly AV Radio Harness for Pioneer Avic X9310BT.: Amazon.ca: Electronics[/ame]

It is incorrect to say you need that connector, as many have done without. It would make it slightly easier though.

I don't know about the Canadian BRZ but I have fitted this kit to my Australian BRZ and it works great.
Make sure you mention that you are putting it in a BRZ, they will give you an extra loom that plugs into the factory loom, not the head unit, then you only need to splice in one wire.

As I said originally, the cam does not plug into the head unit, it plugs into the cars loom. So I would think that if you can get a reverse cam as a dealer option that works with that headunit then the CCS one should work. I do agree though that it is a $160 gamble.

Simon: If you figure this out let me know!

I'll be investigating no-drill options for installing a rearview camera on the Pioneer head unit.

100% you'll need to drill with the kit you linked to

Any advise for possible non-drill options? There must be a way to get a small camera and pull the wire through something into the trunk! (I'm picking up my new car tonight, so pardon my ignorance if impossible)

What about removing the keyhole mechanism and putting the camera and wire from there. You would just lose ability to open trunk with physical key incase vehicle battery died. But there is a way to get into trunk from interior removing pieces from seats, again this would only be done in emergencies anyway.
