So, I learned a very valuable lesson today... make sure your air filter is completely dry before putting it back in the box.

I thought mine was good enough because it was slightly damp. NOPE! Very bad mistake.. 5 seconds into startup, car stuttered and completely died.

Opened the box back up, it was all foamy. I'm not car technical but I think the maf detected there was something wrong and turned off the engine so it wouldn't get fucked. Removed the filter and cel was thrown, cleared it by disconnecting battery.

In other news, not running a filter makes the engine super growly.

So what is the potential for WTQ on our stock block N/A and at what cost? I'm probably going to go FI but just curious...

Far less than FI. Not a while lot you can do NA. E85, exhaust, intake manifold maybe, stroke it(but then you are essentially building it so the block isn't stock then). I'm very happy with how Subaru did but modifying it is kinda disappointing because you can't gain much ground without a turbo/sc

Yeah and E85 is hard to come by in CT. Also you have to change the headers again if you go FI so meh I guess start with either a supercharger or turbo.

The Phantom SC would be a decent in between for $/performance but it you have$5k sitting around you might as well get the real deal

Unless you get something like the nameless which might get in the way, a supercharger probably works fine with most easy NA mods aside from intake...

Pretty much what I do as well. I do need to do some touch-up though. I have some pretty big white spots on the hood.

If only there was a place that such information could be found. Guess that would be a dream world though.

Yup. I started this spring/summer off with a clay bar, and decided never again. It is was too much work and way too time consuming to hand wash regularly.

In fact, I just got back home from getting fuel and going through the 12 dollar touch less wash. Feels good man.

I had been considering the pre-winter wash and tire swap but... it's WAY to nice out there for the tires... though it's great for washing up.

On the other hand, I don't feel like doing work either because it's SO NICE OUT. Stupid global warming and stuff.

Maybe time for a drive.
