I wonder if we'll ever have a majority of the 10 Series documented here? As more special editions are presented in varying production numbers I guess the only thing that'll make our cars truly unique are the badges and ignition silver color.

And our Registry! I haven't seen another Registry for even more limited production Monograms or 1.0's yet. Not saying any Registry adds value, but we certainly seem to have a supportive group of owners passionate about our 10 Series and that's telling.

But I wonder about future value too. At the Toyota/Scion Christmas party last year a Scion national manager told me that THE future classic will be the first year 10 Series. He thought that it will become increasingly valuable starting around 2023 and will eventually become the most collectible edition.

Meanwhile, don't discount our glowing badges and Silver Ignition color, the two most frequently mentioned attractions from others seeing my 10 Series for the first time even while I overlook them or in the past felt slightly apologetic for the excessive bling. Time will tell.

I'm not apologetic about the badges, everybody that sees them in person likes them. This forum is the only place I've come across negativity about them -makes you laugh how the most vocal against them are the same people that rice out their cars and have a negative word about everything.


It'd be nice if they have a favorable place in history years from now (like the Zs & RX7s) -the last thing I'd ever expect is an affordable Japanese sporty cars to be sought after.

I like the glow. I was asked where I bought the badges because the guy's sister just bought an frs too. Had to break it to him that it came with the car. I'm contemplating adding a few more lights.
And as "boring" as I originally thought the ignition silver was, it's grown on me!

So I'm looking at getting a set of rpf1's for my 10 Series. But I don't want the boring silver color.

In your opinions, which color would make an excellent contrast from our car. I know SBC looks great. Was also thinking a darker purple. Any other color suggestions?

Polished aluminum or a metallic lighter color...like teal.

I went with anthracite OZ Alleggritas. I think they look awesome on our color.

Pics? That's one of my favorite but haven't seen them on a 10 Series yet.
